      Entrevista para Technical Writer

      12 de mai. de 2016
      Funcionário(a) sigiloso(a)
      Wilmington, MA
      Oferta aceita
      Experiência positiva
      Entrevista difícil

      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 6 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela Sovos (Wilmington, MA) em jan. de 2016

      Entrevista

The interview process consists of a phone interview, a personality test and an aptitude test (you take this once and then another time via webcam so they can see it is you taking the test). After I completed these steps, I was called in for an interview. I met with 3 different members of management in a row - essentially 3 different interviews about 30 minutes each. I was greeted at the door and was given a tour of the office. The managers were all very nice and honest about the company and the position. I was called with a job offer less than a week later. Overall, I had a very positive experience.

      Candidatura

Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Sovos (Wilmington, MA).

      Entrevista

I got relatively bad vibes all around that I chose to ignore at first. There was a phone screening followed by an aptitude test that took over an hour, followed by an in-person interview. The interviewers seemed desperate to get me in and out of there fast but basically ended each interview with a promise that I was their top candidate. Some of the answers I got from the interviewers when it was my turn to ask, though, were a little...off. Many of them directly contradicted each other. One would say upper management micromanages, the other would say you're given a lot of personal freedom. One would say the work is rewarding and the next would say it's redundant. I got four different and sometimes directly contradictory descriptions of the job itself. Different people have different opinions but they were starting to be inconsistent with simple informational statements. Very strange. I kind of shook it off, took their drug test, got the offer (on my way to the drug test which I saw as another red flag as they didn't care about the results). What ultimately made me decline the offer was the HR representative. When she sent me the offer she asked if I could sign it that day. I told her I wanted to go over the benefits with my fiance first, who would be home that night, and I could get it back to HR the next morning. This set the HR representative off. She sent me a very nasty email about how they're trying to do me the favor of hiring me and I had no right to be taking so long to sign their forms, and if my fiance wants to look at the benefits I could scan them to her work email. Sent her back a quick reply that I wouldn't be taking the job. If that's how they treat prospective employees, I can't imagine how they treat employees they've already locked in. I'm glad it happened though because I wasn't following my gut about the weird interview and I hadn't yet read the horrid reviews here.

      Pergunta 1

The only question I was asked was "why should we hire you." The rest was fluff.
