I applied online and heard back incredibly quickly (couple weeks maybe), which I was impressed by. Then came a couple phone interviews, one with HR and one technical with some existing engineers. Then they flew me out and put me up in a pretty nice hotel, all expenses paid. Once there, I gave a short presentation on my background, which was followed by a one on one interview with each member of the group to which I presented. These had questions ranging from practical application questions ("how would you solve this problem") to personality/character questions, and lasted a few hours. Up until this point I was pretty happy, until I let on that I wasn't sure about 50-60 hour work weeks (something I had not heard quoted to me prior to getting there, aside from hearsay. Also, I'd probably be more okay with it if not for being in LA, where you seem to be guaranteed a long commute no matter what you do), at which point they basically flashed me the middle finger.
