Sollicitatie ingestuurd via twee wegen online sollicitatie en referral via werknemer. Na ruim een maand wachten nam een recruiter contact met me op en diezelfde week had ik nog een video-interview van drie kwartier met 2 managers. Na dat interview wederom een maand radiostilte (ook na verzoek om feedback) en opeens kreeg ik de terugkoppeling dat ik een aanbod kreeg (nogal onverwacht voor mij na zo'n lange tijd). Dat aanbod was er vervolgens binnen 3 dagen, net als twee follow-up gesprekken (op mijn verzoek) met mijn hiring manager en een andere leidinggevend om iets meer duidelijkheid te krijgen over de functie (drie kwartier is nogal kort).

Entrevista
I applied through the company's website and was invited for an interview two weeks later. The interview lasted around 40 minutes and consisted mainly of behavioral questions, which weren't particularly challenging.
However, after another two weeks of waiting, I received a rejection email stating, 'You are not in the country where the job is located, and the hiring manager wants to have someone local.' This was particularly frustrating as the job description had no mention of requiring local candidates. To add: I don't need working visa/work permit to work in that country, and was willing to relocate without asking for relocation package.
I feel my time was wasted – I spent effort tailoring my resume, preparing for the interview, and even took time off from my current job to attend it. I believe the geographical requirement should have been clearly stated in the job posting to respect candidates' time and effort.
This experience was disappointing and could have been easily avoided with transparent communication from the start.

Applied online and was sent a survey from a recruiter. I was asked answer questions through email that would typically be asked on a phone screen. Then sent a rejection email. There was no phone call with the recruiter.
