Mock sales call with a prospective customer. You are given some talk tracks and need to engage in a 3-5 minute conversation. You have to be able to answer real time on the call and adjust depending on what questions are asked during it.

The process was pretty smooth and it consisted of four different parts: the initial recruiter interview, an interview with the Sales Manager, a Role Play with the Sales Manager, and a final interview with the CRO. I felt I had a good rapport throughout the process and I was told that I did very well during the role play. It was also mentioned that the assessment I had taken matched me up with their Enterprise Account Executives, which I took as a good sign. About a week after my final interview with the CRO I received a phone call from the Sales Manager asking to connect. Apparently, there were concerns about my lack of prospecting skills and they wanted to assess how "scrappy I would be." I basically had to "pitch" myself all over again and I found this to be very odd that they were still concerned about my qualifications, even though I went through to the final round. Long story short, there were several delays in getting the final decision back (which was communicated by the recruiter via email). Two weeks AFTER my final interview was when I received a "form rejection email" from the recruiter stating that they were going with another candidate. Needless to say, this was very disappointing and frankly a bit unprofessional to give candidates the runaround. If there are concerns about one's qualifications that should be addressed much earlier in the interview process. There really isn't a valid excuse to take 2 weeks to provide a final decision to someone. At this point, you are giving qualified candidates ample time to walk away and take another offer. This definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.
Thank you for the feedback. We aim to provide a smooth, thoughtful, and thorough interview experience; however, it sounds like we dropped the ball here. We are truly sorry for this negative experience and hope you landed somewhere great.

I didn't get to the interview process but would like to address the (rather stupid) application process.
I applied via LinkedIn and received an email asking me to complete an "assessment" to "compare me to top performers on the SDR team." I was expecting performance-based or personality-based questions; instead, I was asked "What is the best day of your life?" "Where would you like to vacation?" "What are your short and long-term goals?" The last question felt valid, but the other two felt incredibly irrelevant. Regardless, I answered all of the questions as best as I could and with as much detail as possible.
The next day I got a rejection email due to the assessment. I'm not sure how asking what the best day of my life was or asking about my vacation plans aligns with how I'd perform on an SDR team, but clearly they didn't like my answers. Guess this company just isn't a fan of Canada.

Hi there! We really appreciate the feedback and have since refined the way we communicate “why” we request each applicant to complete a ‘Sprockets Assessment’ before sending it.
The questions you mentioned form the basis of a proprietary feature within our software - the Mental Makeup Analysis (https://sprockets.ai/personality-assessment/) - that we offer our clients. Our proven technology combines the science behind Psycholinguistics & AI to gain key insights into applicants and provides a “match score” when compared to the makeup of our current top-performing team members in that role.
We never actually see your individual responses and while you may not be a fit for what our Sales team needs right now, it doesn’t mean that you may not be a fit in the future.
Also, big Canada fan!
