I applied through a website and got a call for the interview. First round was an intro round which went good. Then they gave me as assignment and this is where things started to get weird. The assignment was basically asking me giving them the original copies of my project in the current company and they clearly mentioned the word 'send original documents of the PRD for a module' and obviously I objected to this as anyone with a common sense knows that you can't share your company's work with anyone outside the organisation due to confidentiality. The ETA for the task was 48 hours. They understood the situation and I was told to be given another assignment with a new ETA. The next assignment came after 24 hours and the assignment was still weird. They gave me an assignment to build on an idea , write solutions, PRD, wireframe, KPI's to monitor, take an interview of a user and write everything down and the most weird thing was they told me to write solutuons which should have a defined time for back end and front end development. Seriously, this was the height of absurdity and to top of it the ETA now reduced to 24 hours. You are expecting a PM to know all the things and still give an assignment which has so much to do and you want it to be done in 24 hours. First, you expect me to interview a user and write everything down ( what is this ..is this an entry level job that I was interviewing for) and then you expect me to write solutions with defined time for development ( am I a developer too who should know the exact time required for development). Atlast, I decided to withdraw my name from the process. While the team was supportive but they clearly have big flaws in their hiring process . I hope they understand that and improve their process.
