Beyond a brief intro email from a recruiter, I was forwarded a link to a Hackerrank test. The test is 60 minutes and you are given 5 questions. Because this was a frontend interview, the questions are required to be completed using JavaScript.
The Hackerrank platform is pretty painful to use; it's slow to test your code. You're better off coding in your personal editor of choice, and pasting into the Hackerrank answer field.
It's buggy. For instance, for one question my answer worked locally on major browsers, but when run on the Hackerrank platform it crapped out and failed.
Overall, using Hackerrank as a means to screen candidates was a pretty lousy experience. If encounter another company that does this, I will more than likely pass on them.

Questions revolve around JS scope and closures, recursion, and some basic OOP.
Friendly interviewers, they’re there to help you with your questions so don’t be afraid to ask. Would recommend refreshing up on technical knowledge and speak your thought process, so that they have an indication of what you’re working on or stuck with

The recruiter ghosted me. We arranged a day for the interview and 5 minutes before he canceled saying he would find another day to talk to me. A few days later I sent him an email asking about the interview, but he never answered.

The true challange about the proccess is the HR middle man, he is completly lost, scheduling meetings is so hard and painful. He will go on vacation and keep you at the limbo for weeks.
