Candidatei-me online. Fui entrevistado pela Squarespace (Dublin, Dublin) em jan. de 2025
Entrevista
I didn't get the offer but this was the best interview experience I've ever been through on any development role.
- Initial HR screening, discussing the CV;
- Take home test on HakerRank (Vanilla JS);
- Onsite interview, split into 4 steps, also on HakerRank:
- Communication, Teamwork, Impact & Leadership;
- Language Specifics (live coding - Vanilla JS);
- Systems Design (discussion - React);
- Data Structures and Algorithms (live coding - Vanilla JS).

Entrevista
Set up an interview with the recruiter only to be ghosted. I contacted the recruiter to see if they could reschedule and still received no response. Ridiculous that this still happens in 2024. I'd recommend another place
Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. O processo levou 4 dias. Fui entrevistado pela Squarespace (Dublin, Dublin) em mar. de 2024
Entrevista
I went through the interview process with Squarespace. The people I interacted with were polite and respectful, and the overall environment seemed positive. The technical interview was challenging, which I appreciated, and I invested a lot of time preparing for it based on the provided guidelines.
The entire interview process took about six hours, which included multiple rounds. Unfortunately, after all this time and effort, I didn’t receive any feedback about my performance, despite being told at the start that feedback would be provided. When I followed up, I was informed that due to the demands of their summer internship program, they weren't able to provide feedback.
While I understand that companies are often very busy, especially during internship season, I was hoping for a bit more insight after such a lengthy process. Even just a few minutes of feedback would have been helpful for me to know where I could improve for future opportunities. This would have been a valuable way to conclude the process, especially considering the time and effort invested on both sides.
Unfortunately, I found this approach to interviews to be somewhat inconsiderate of the candidate's time and effort. When a candidate dedicates hours to the process, it's only fair to provide the promised feedback, even if brief. I hope that Squarespace can reconsider how they handle this in the future to improve the experience for candidates.
