The University used the standard process for most higher education jobs, same dog and pony show for those unfortunate enough to be in the creative field with, not only the resume and cover letter, but a portfolio as well. From there it was first a committee phone interview to narrow down those who made the grade, then flown up for an in person series of large committee interviews after which they'd make the decision.
