Food manufacturing and distribution company. It was one of the longer interview process starting with a former Management Consultant and VP. I interviewed during the process of a M&A with a consulting firm during a Ch. 11 bankruptcy. You had to discuss your work history timeline and support periods where you were able to contribute to a percentage of profits during the operational periods you worked or any significant factor where you downsized or marginalized a product or spiked the prices of another for a cost-benefit p&l valuation for a client.
2nd interview was subsequently followed with another associate on the same day. Even with solid work details and strategies to support your conclusions with a client, it was still tedious and difficult to interact with the whole micro-economic theory learned in school and apply it in a real business operational strategy.

Give me an example of how you were able to cut costs on a variety of products and raise the prices on another to still efficiently generate profit margins by 1.5 %

Lengthy but people are very friendly so time flies when you’re there. I had a one on one via zoom at first and then a panel interview was scheduled in Pittsburgh.

Phone interview. Not a clear view of what the manager was looking for, interview was without energy or interest Leon his part. Like one of those that are made just to hit the numbers. I'm honestly very disappointed with how the interview went. I was prepared, did my research and even though the manager could read about my experiences and we talked about them as well, when I asked if he has any hesitations about my qualification I could realized he was looking for someone with a "fresh skill/experience for the job" or at least that was the excuse he took to get rid of me as a candidate. But my question is: did he even read my resume beforehand? Because if he was looking for someone with a fresh skill then why did they even selected me for a phone interview.. It doesn't make sense. Just a waste of time.
