I emailed an agency called "Cast-a-way" my resume and I heard back 2 weeks later. I had an Skype interview the next week with the recruiter who then invited me to an interview in Toronto with Starboard. The interview is 8 hours long and involves a lot of role playing because they want to see how you react to situations and with each other. This is way different then your normal interview. After the interview, I found out a week or two later that I was hired and had to complete a medical. I paid $500.00 and got my medical done right away because the quicker you get it done, the faster you get an assignment. I got my assignment 3 weeks later and had to be in Italy in 2 days. You have to be prepared to wait but when you receive an opportunity, you have to be quick to take it and go.

Entrevista
It was pre pandemic. First English proficiency test followed by video interview by agency. If your are selected then client interview that’s a whole day process where there is group discussion , role play and one on one interview . Mostly they ask sales related questions, previous experience and why you want to join the cruise lines. Now the process must have changed post pandemic so can’t really comment on that .

The horrible attitude of the interviewer. Negative and demeaning. They are the first window to the company. I was so enthusiastic and hyped up before the interview, but she managed to disappoint me so much

Group interview followed by individual interview. They valued participation and demeanor during the group interview to filter candidates. Folks with average speaking skills made it through, so it’s not hard to get in.
