Starfish reached out to me after applying via LinkedIn and I scheduled a first round of interviews from there. The first one went well, the woman I spoke to was particularly kind, and they wanted to move the process along pretty quickly. From then on it went to a second round, and then a third and final in-person round with two more back-to-back interviews and a presentation. Overall the rounds were pretty smooth and the interviews went really well, they seemed very excited about me and told me they really hoped that this works out,,.which from there it went downhill. At the bottom of the job description it said the role had said it required 1 year of professional non-internship experience, and I did not have that because I was fresh out of college with only past internships (and in one currently). After the final round, they ghosted me for 2 weeks, and then told me they went with someone else with 1 year of experience per the job description. It more seemed like why waste my time taking me to the final round to begin with if they knew my background (or I guess lack of) wasn't what they wanted!
