Applied online. Internal talent acquisition reached out to me via phone and conducted an impromptu phone screening. Was told there was "no pay range" for the role I was applying for, so I gave my range. Was told that was "no problem". Turns out, after several discussions about pay, 1 round of in-person interviews, and 2 rounds of zoom interviews, there in fact WAS a range, and it was much lower than the required salary I had given. Benefits only included standard stuff like insurance and 2 weeks PTO, no talk of stock options, bonuses, or negotiation room. It seems the recruiter knew this all along and wasted a lot of time for me and the interviewers. Very disappointing.
