      Entrevista

I applied in early March and was sent an email stating that I would receive notice in 2-3 weeks on whether they would like to move forward. After giving up, I received an interview invitation in mid May. I interviewed at the Austin office on the 21st of May. As the others have stated, I did prepare a Pinterest board for a fictional client and wrote 'notes' to the client describing how they could style the 5 items I chose. The interview was simple. They have you watch a short video about the company, then ask you a few questions. They also have you do a 'live style' with a few clothing items (two of which were terrible choices for anyone, no matter what their style). I've heard from previous/current employees, and unfortunately witnessed first hand, how unprofessional and snotty some of the lead stylists are (the interviewers). One was very sweet and great to talk to, but that is not the one I got stuck with. They (the leads) are mostly very young, and couldn't seem to stick to a schedule, as they were randomly showing up 10, 15, and 30 minutes late. The girl that interviewed me pulled out a note pad with scribbles and doodles all over the page (this was her 'interview questions' page). She's didn't know how or what to ask me. I tried to make it more conversational since she seemed frustrated from the start. She was very rude throughout the entire interview and didn't even really give me a chance to tell her about my background. I understand that they are a start up company and have many kinks to work out, but one of the first priorities should be hiring quality employees. The interviewers should definitely have more experience and understand what they are looking for in candidates. Also, I feel like they are looking for young, less knowledgeable prospects so that they don't have too many aspirations of moving up. This isn't a company that you can grow with (advice I got from a current employee). They pay a flat amount per hour, and that's it. No bonuses, very little chance to move up, etc.
