Everything went great with the internal team I interviewed with. However, once I had to interact with the talent team, things began to tank very quickly. Initially, there was a push to have me come on-sight and meet the internal team but there was no mention of pay or incentives.
Rather than waste everyones time with uncertainty, I requested to discuss compensation before flying out. Seemed very reasonable and I wanted to keep things transparent - I can't relocate if I can't afford the move.
Once I disclosed the rate I would need, communication halted. I had not heard from anyone. After several emails, the talent team finally responded with a decline on my offer. I offered to negotiate but the talent team seemed very dismissive at that point. I was not happy about the hiring experience. It seemed they heavily rely on the love of StockX and not offering competitive compensation.
