3 rounds (2 hiring managers and then EIC) and one copy test. Test took a while and was purposely made to be difficult but not terrible. Interviews were short (each 30 min or less) and mostly just talked about previous work experience

Run. Ain't worth it. Weeks went by in between every step of the process. I forgot I'd even applied. The HR person was rude, abrupt, had no additional information about the role and starting hassling me about the rate/salary from the start. As others have mentioned, they asked not for a writing sample but a complete and timely project after I'd already had the interview with the hiring manager and they'd seen another writing sample. I waited and waited to get the request, which they finally sent over right before a holiday. Strangely, it was linked to news of the day. When I said I had a commitment and asked for an extension, they said it was fine. I handed in the assignment when I said I would and never heard back. I reached out to both the hiring manager and the HR person who both never responded. I'd heard this company is a mess, and this experience hit every beat I'd heard mentioned and more.
