I went through six rounds of interviews for this role, including a technical assessment, and was rejected. The interview process was straightforward and everybody seemed very kind. I'd completely understand the length of the interviews for senior level level roles, but this seemed too excessive and a complete waste of time.

Fairly extensive interview process: HR screening phone call, video call with a team lead, video call with 2 senior consultants, video call with 2 managers, video call with 2 more managers which included a technical challenge (SQL, relational database, critical thinking), phone call with VP, and finally a phone call with the CEO (I dare say you have the job at this point).
