The interview was virtual with one higher up who had a clear idea of a right versus wrong answer to the interview questions. I was told that Success Academy looks for teachers to be “commanding and demanding.” I found this to be Machiavellian, especially considering that I was interviewing for early elementary. I know if I was spoken to in commands as a child, I would have burst into tears.

The interview process was relatively straightforward in structure, but there were some concerns regarding professionalism and communication. The interview began later than scheduled without acknowledgment, and there were multiple instances where responses were interrupted before completion. This made it somewhat challenging to fully convey answers and engage in a balanced discussion. Outcome: Withdrew from the process.
