Applied online and was contacted by a sales manager with a short phone interview.
Went through a formal interview, then a series of online testing, aptitudes for an advisor and another test for manager.
Then met with the manager of the centre,
I refused the position since for me, it sounded more like a scam than actual hiring process for a sales professional to coach and manage a sale force. They wanted atleast six months on the field, then you go on a probation period as an associate manager, so I was not going to be in the manager shoes for two years, and yes they have replies to all objection, sun life products are not like the competitors you must handle them, the advisors must trust you etc. etc.

Extremely long process, with a very unprofessional end. Multiple rounds of interviews, with the initial being basic screening. All of this took approximately 2 months. This was then followed by another 3 week wait for a decision from the company, however rather than advise that the offer was given to someone else, I received notice that "I had voluntarily withdrawn my application", which was completely untrue. I have no issue with the job going to someone more qualified, but being told I opted out when I 100% did not, was a very disappointing conclusion.

Entrevista
The posting is for a sales manager, it says in the posting if you have no financial services experience you would be hired as a manager trainee. Once I got to the interview the interviewer told me that everyone who applies would be hired as an advisor and that they would 'keep in mind' that I wanted to pursue a management role. Then they tried to sell me on the position which by the way is 100% commission based. no thank you! I'm embarrased for your company that you would be so shameless to use a bait and switch tactic like this. If you need advisors please post your ad as such. What a waste of time!

The interview was more like a sales pitch where the interviewer did most of the talking. I was asked very few interview questions and was being 'sold' heavily on the commission potential of the role. I got the old story of the person who interviewed for a management role who took the advisor role, then upon his amazing success he no longer wants to be a manager. LOL such funny preconceived stories that are utilized to coerce you.
