The interview process consisted of a phone conversation with a recruiter who had reached out to me. After that, I had a Zoom interview with a member of the Grammarly DS team going over a case study and some common DS problems. Finally, I went through a virtual panel interview with multiple members of the DS team including the hiring manager, as well as Grammarlians throughout the company that covered technical problems, case studies, and behavioral interviews. As noted, I accepted the offer I received from the company and one of the reasons I accepted was due to the fact that the recruitment and interview process was the best I experienced after interviewing with 20+ companies. Everyone I talked with answered my questions to my satisfaction, the process was well-run with some fun perks that I didn’t experience elsewhere and most importantly, I really could see myself calling the people I interviewed with teammates. I really appreciated the work, my recruiter, Mark, did throughout the process and one thing that I would call out is that the case studies I did with multiple individuals actually felt collaborative versus a number of other interviews that felt adversarial in nature.
