Stop! Don't waste your time with this company! They are a SCAM!
It is a 3-step interview process. I only got through step 2 because I confirmed my suspicion of them being a multi-level marketing scheme mid 2nd interview. It's a scam! They want you to work M-F 11am-9pm, Sat 9am-4pm going door to door. You get paid off of commission. Once they said that, that is where my interview ended. Also, their office is located inside of Zero Energy one of their newly acquired clients.
In the first and second interview you spend the first five to ten minutes talking about yourself. First thing that turned me off was when they asked if I was looking for part/full time. I was taken back because the position advertised was for full time. Second thing was when they asked where the city I said I was from was located. Like they were unclear of the city's neighboring them.
After I talked about myself for a bit the interviewer began to name drop companies that they do local marketing for (Verizon, AT&T, Angels, etc.). They then mentioned Zero Energy and how they would be helping them with their marketing for clients. I asked if they job was cold calling for door to door and the interviewer said no. He said it was business to business. They were looking to bring back their top candidates from the first round the next day at 9am for second round interviews.(first interview ended)
I got called about 30minutes after I left the interview saying I had been selected for the second round. I agree to come in even though I was skeptical.
Second interview began the same way as the first. Tell me about yourself, looking for part or full time, where is the city you are from located, how was the commute. Once again these question left a bad taste.
He eventually moved on to ask my definition of the difference between direct and indirect marketing. From their he explained the different tiers of the company management. Everyone starts out as a distributor (going door to door trying to convince people to do "free home inspections). Then they get promoted to Account Managers (still going door to door). After that assistant manager and lastly managers.
So they want you as a distributor/account manager to go door to door to about 30 homeowner houses a day. Out of those 30homeowners you should secure 12 leads. From leads it goes to audits then results presentations. Out of those 12 leads they'll give it over to the Zero Energy sales people to take over. But you only get paid based off how many of those 12 leads turn into audits (50$ per audit). Then based off how many result in presentations you get a staged pay. 1-5:130$, 6-10:140$, etc. It goes up 10$ for every 5presentations but maxes out at 170$. They try to sell you on making 1190$/week and 61,880$/yearly. Which is total bs.
Don't waste your time!

The kid conducting the interview started off by selling the company, then asked very basic questions before asking if I had sales experience. 1 for a customer service position why would I need sales experience and 2 if he had looked at my resume that was in front of him it states that I sold cell phones at one point in time. I told him yes and I have no interest in returning to sales.

Only thing that really stuck out was asking if I had sales experience for a customer service representative position.

Came in for an interview, found out the position was to be a door to door salesman, with the hopes of becoming an account manager. Made me wonder what else the company was up to.
