      Entrevista

      There was two initial phone screens. The first consisted of all logic puzzles from the recruiter. The second consisted mostly of riddles and answering questions about technologies outside of my main skill-set. These questions instead corresponded with the skill-set of the interviewer. Otherwise, there was little other content. The in person interview consisted of half-a-day worth of 1-1 and 2-1 interviews. The interviews consisted of more logic puzzles and talking. There was some talk about past projects, but most of the interview was in the context of the current problems of the employees. The interview consisted mostly of analyzing personality and thinking style. The HR person kept in contact and provided sufficient insight into the hiring process. Overall, the hiring process was very fast.

      Entrevista

      I applied online through my university's job site. First step was a simple phone screen with one of their recruiters, and consisted of questions about items on my resume and past experiences. The next step was an online coding exercise consisting of one problem. You are allowed to pick your preferred language from a list. Following that was a phone interview with two technologists discussing your solution to the coding exercise as well as general algorithm and coding questions and past experience. Next was a full day of interviews on location in Bala Cynwyd. They provide all transportation needs to get to/from their office. The day started with another coding exercise in which you are provided your choice of OS, IDE, and language. After this there were two rounds of group interviews with two SIG technologists each consisting of whiteboard problems. Following the interviews we were given lunch in one of their cafeterias (amazing food). Next was a chat with one of their technologists and was an opportunity to ask questions regarding office culture and SIG in general. Ending the day at the office was a tour of their OPS room, data center, game room, and new gym. They put all the applicants (there were three others there) in a hotel and took us out to dinner that night. I heard back in three weeks regarding the offer as well as what team I would be placed on.

      Originally began interview process through on-campus recruiting. There was an initial phone-screen leading to an on-site interview. Standard fare probability questions and brain-teasers and a strong emphasis on poker (both in interview questions and as a vehicle for probabilistic thinking). Not really that much focus on programming or language-specific questions...

      There's a phone screen, a technical phone interview, and then you finally interview at HQ. The phone screen is pretty straightforward. They ask about projects, interest in company, etc. Then ends it asking you to explain a data structure The technical phone interview was also pretty easy. Language specific questions such as which language is faster, manual vs auto memory management, and differences between Java/C++/Python. They asked about some projects I worked on as well. Finally, we we coded a really basic problem relating to a trivial property of an array. You can easily do it in O(n). That took less than 10 minutes. We then went on to talk about the company. Flying out to Philly was interesting. They put you in a wonderful hotel and talk to you over dinner. The interview begins early in the morning. You're put in a room where you'll have 30 minutes to solve a big data problem given the language of your choice. Next, 2 interviewers discuss your solution with you and then move on to more language-specific questions. After, 2 more interviewers ask data structures/algorithms questions, but those were pretty basic, too. You end the day with a tour of the HQ. Overall, the interview experience was great, but my first interviewer was awful. The worst person I've ever interviewed with. He would consistently ask niche questions from libraries/packages I've never used and grill me me for not knowing them. His tone was condescending and uninterested. In discussing my solution, he actually had a rather negative comment toward it, but no valuable input on how to improve. His interview alone secured my decision to never apply here again.
