I was sent a calendar invite with a name and number for me to call. I called in exactly on time but there was no answer and I had to leave a voicemail. I did receive a call back quickly but the initial phone interview was approximately 5 minutes long in which I was only asked 1 question. I've never felt discounted so quickly for a position that my background and experience was tailored to. I got the impression that either the position was already filled or that the interviewer was lacking experience assessing potential talent. In my experience as a hiring manager there's no way enough information was gathered to make an informed decision about my qualifications and I was not given any info regarding what to expect next. It was without a doubt the most odd interview I've ever had.
