I was headhunted by the company, which is in Switzerland while I was running a business in the Middle East as they were looking for an Asian expert to build the company's business in Asia. The Board members had had interactions with me over a span of over ten years and thus knew me and some had been my superiors at various stages of my career. As such, once they had decided on me as a candidate, the interiew process was fairly straightforward and required only a negotiation on the package since there was a certain depth of knowledge and experience with one another. For me, since I knew everyone in the board personally, I was sure that I would get the support I needed in the business by the team.
