Overall positive experience throughout the interview process.
The process was well organized and communication was clear and timely. I appreciated the transparency regarding timelines and expectations, and I felt supported throughout. The interviewers were professional, well-prepared and easy to talk to.
There were four rounds in total: HR, principle engineer/technical, department head, head of North America.
HR round was typical screening questions. The technical interview was problem-solving based rather than just theoretical knowledge. It felt more like a conversation or brainstorming session, where the interviewer could get a good idea of how I thought through problems. Some of the problems were abstract so I could create my own hypothetical scenario which I found fun. It was a great way to display my creativity when trying to think of solutions to a problem. Last two rounds were more of a culture-fit check with some technical questions thrown in.
Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 4 semanas. Fiz uma entrevista na empresa Synpulse (Toronto, ON).
Entrevista
I went through a four-round interview process that lasted about a month and took around 4.5 hours in total.
Round 1:
15-minute HR screening. Basic background and role overview.
Round 2:
Case-style interview. Focused on SQL, problem solving, and how I think through scenarios. Included questions on LLMs and GenAI concepts.
Round 3:
Interview with the Head of the Palantir Practice. Mostly behavioral and hypothetical questions. Focused on communication and overall fit.
Round 4:
Final round with a partner. Discussed my understanding of the company, my interests, and the type of role I was looking for.
After completing all four rounds, I was told they would share a decision by the end of the week. I followed up twice after that timeline passed.
Eventually, I was informed that the position had been closed.
This experience felt frustrating given the time and effort invested. I expected clearer communication and a more timely update after completing the full process.
