I had 3 interviews that were spaced out over 5 months. It was a LONG process and there was very little interaction with HR during this time period. I sent an email and they followed up a month later.

There were four rounds of phone interview within two weeks. This was followed by an on-site interview meeting with another six people (one of them was on the phone with me before).

First round was HR which was very informal where I got to know more about the position and organization and HR enquired about my prior expereince.
Second round was with the entire team with whom I am supposed to work.
