      I got reached out to through LinkedIn and had an intro call with the recruiter who told me there was just a single one-hour interview. I was able to talk to another contractor on the team, which was just supposed to be an informative call for me to learn more, but turned into a bit of an initial interview with him asking me specific questions about code and coding philosophy. Still, it was nice to speak with this person who was currently on the team as a contractor as I was unsure about taking a contractor role, which I made known to the recruiter. I decided to to ahead and do the 1 hour tech interview in order to meet the rest of the team and learn more about what they were doing to make a more informed decision should I get the offer. I enjoyed meeting the team and found the interview pretty easy. I got an offer later that night, however I was still unsure so I told the recruiter I wanted to think it over. This was a Tuesday and I told him I'd have an answer by end of week, but probably by Thurs afternoon. After a lot of thought, I decided to turn down the offer. I emailed the recruiter thanking him for his time and help throughout the process. I asked him to thank the team at Southwest and that I enjoyed meeting them. What was his response? He said I should have never gone through the process if I was going to decline it, that I'd wasted people's time, and that I would regret it. Wow. Completely unprofessional and clueless. Does he not know how interviewing works? Imagine if I said that to a potential employer every time they turned me down after an interview? That they should never have interviewed me if they ended up not moving me on to the next round or giving me an offer. They would be flabbergasted by the audacity. This recruiter was unable to answer many of my questions from the beginning and showed little desire to get them answered. He was pushy from the start like a used car salesman, and texted me at 7:30am on Thursday morning looking for an answer after I had told him I would decide by end of week.

      Terrible experience with the recruiters. They bait and switched a role at NVIDIA, requested a completed HackerRank assessment up front (with surprise frontend/React questions for a backend role), two references up front, tried to negotiate my requested hourly down after we'd already agreed on a number, and then ghosted me. Definitely won't be working with them again and will advise my network to avoid.

      Applied via LinkedIn after being contacted by a recruiter. The process began with an online iOS skills assessment, which required a couple of days of preparation. Following that, I had an interview with a manager that focused mainly on manual testing skills, with little emphasis on programming. When that role wasn’t a fit, I was interviewed again for a programming-focused position. During the conversation, I was asked about availability and mentioned I would need about five business days to start. I was told information would be sent to the client, but I did not receive further communication after that. Advice for Candidates: Be prepared for both technical and non-technical interview tracks (e.g., manual testing vs. programming). Expect the process to involve online assessments as an initial step. Clarify next steps and follow-up timelines during interviews, as communication may vary.
