Interviewed by the PI of the lab, talked about my experience, skills and works that I did, also visited the lab. The PI is friendly and it was generally a good session.

Started off going through resume, with interviewer (PI) asking about past work experiences, what I did etc. Moved on to technical questions, was asked very technical and industry-specific questions about cell biology, biotechnology and molecular cloning techniques e.g. how would you plan the experiment in this scenario to measure this, what assay to use, why and how to execute. This lasted for around 45mins. Finally was asked to provide my two referees at the end and about generic career plans. PI said they would contact my referees for a referral letter shortly after the interview, but never reached out to my referees.
