      Candidatura

Candidatei-me online. O processo levou 1 semana. Fui entrevistado pela TP (Bristol, Inglaterra) em nov. de 2013

      Entrevista

I applied online and received a call from the recruitment dept the same day and was interviewed over the telephone. I was told I had an 'excellent telephone manner' and sounded really nice and enthusiastic . I was asked various questions about customer service and just standard background checks about eligibility to work in the UK etc. I was immediately called for a group assessment the following week , which I attended. Upon arrival , I was asked to report to the main canteen area where about 20 other job seekers were all anxiously waiting and not speaking to one another - I found this incredibly daunting and uncomfortable as I hate silence and detest collective stress, but managed to break the ice by chatting to someone in the waiting area. Following this we were called into the main interview room , told a few quick facts about the company and made to introduce ourselves, talk about our back ground and experience and hobbies to the rest of the group as well as the 2 female interviewers. The interview was held on a Thursday and we were told we would have to be ready and willing to work on the following Monday , at which point one person had to leave because he had a 4 week notice period in his job. (No previous communication about this) A collection of tests then ensued - spelling test; selection of words from a list 'e.g communication/listening skills' which were to be selected in order of importance and presented to the rest of the group. This was followed by a listening test . The whole process lasted roughly 2 hours and we were advised we would receive an email about the outcome the following day. Sure enough, the generic rejection letter followed /no explanation as to why I wasn't chosen - ( I actually had sufficiently more experience than other candidates at interview and a back ground in customer service which other people did not). I would describe the recruitment process as hugely unfair and gender biased ( only 2 female candidates vs roughly 10 males). Have requested feedback twice since (once via phone, once via email) but to no avail. Given the chance again, I wouldn't bother - its sickening to ignore email and phone calls from a candidate when they have attended a 2 hour group session and telephone interview.

      Pergunta 1

Nothing was particularly tricky, fairly standard questions but unfair and unequal process. Would think twice about applying if you're female.
