I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn and I was immediately asked if I was interested without even providing a job description. I asked for one, as well to know about some company policies. I only got a generic job description and was asked if I would accept to be paid X per hour. As the rate was low I stated my minimum and they responded by asking if I would accept less. Which I would, depending on the benefits, which at the moment were none. They kept pushing for me to accept a low-ball rate without wanting to tell me anything else, even though I asked and stated I cannot accept an offer that it is not clear on so many aspects. They excused themselves by blaming their customer I would work with, saying they did not provide details. In the end, they blatantly told me they could accept my rate but would provide no benefits whatsoever, while pushing me to accept. Given that they speculated and concealed things, they only earned my mistrust, so telling them that I was not interested in the position was a no brainer.
