Telephone interview for a senior role. The interviewer did not make any effort to present his company or introduce himself. He had the obsolete style "we are doing you a favour for interviewing you". Whilst of course a company has to try to find out about your experience etc... it has also the obligation to convince you to join. The tactics of a power conversation where the power lies with the Employer is rather disrespectful. They advertise the role, you apply and they have to respect that. They need you as much as you potentially need them and looking down on a candidate, placing him or her in a position to defend his experience and his current role says one thing: Avoid this firm!!!
