Worst "interview" I've ever had. Initial call was less than 30 mins and was similar to a phone screen. I had asked about expected hours of the position and whether it was paid, but was told to ask the following interviewer, who would reach out soon to schedule the next interview. About a week later, I received a phone call. What ensued was an unplanned two hour "interview" (interrogation) by a man who was rude, condescending, and arrogant. Insulted me at every chance he could while treating me like a criminal. When I asked whether the position was paid, he accused me of being interested in the position only for money and claimed I had no experience and skills. He also did other weird, random things, like told me he was eating steak and eggs during the call.... When discussing my time abroad, the interviewer treated me as if I was a foreign agent. He asked for extremely detailed information that I really wasn't comfortable giving, including the request to forward email communications that contained health records. They also requested I send writing samples to the CEO, whose response back I found odd. Ultimately, I don't think they ever reached back out to me. However, shortly after my experience, I noticed that the job posting had been relisted on Indeed. This time, pay and hours were included in the posting (they were not originally). Afterwards, I told some people close to me in the field about the interview, and they were quite disturbed. I don't know if this was a one-off experience, but I would've hung up the phone within the first 10 minutes of the second call had I not been desperate for a job. This was all years ago at this point and I had just graduated college.
