I was not searching for a position but was contacted by a Recruiter with Tailored Brands. They were looking to fill an Executive field position. I interviewed with her a week later.
She told me the position was outside of the state I reside in (bordering state) and the requirement was to live in
the area of store responsibility. Ok, fine but I wasn't interested in relocating. 2 weeks later another Tailored Brands recruiter contacted me. He had me jump through hoops
submitting resume, cover letter, additional questionnaires, online application 2 screening calls and more additional information all within the same week. I told him upfront that while in the same state that I did not live in area of where immediate stores were located. He checked with the ZVP and came back and said that was fine. 2nd interview conducted & went well. I gave them 3 weeks and followed up. No response. I followed up again weekly after that for 3 weeks. Once I finally got in touch with him in November he kept giving me the run around about his Supervisor planning on contacting me for an executive panel interview. That never happened. Process started in August. They ghosted me for 4 months. And on top of that, they hired someone that I know for that lives in the same state as me for the 1st open position the recruiter originally contacted me about, that I was told that you had to live in the same state where stores of responsibility were located. This person is traveling to 3 different states for stores under his umbrella of responsibility & NONE of his stores are in the state that he resides in. I'd never work for a company that treats the interview process in this manner. They called me, I didn't contact them. I can only imagine how they treat their actual employees.
