I recently interviewed for a Senior Flutter Developer position at Talabat. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, especially in the problem-solving round (Stage 2). The interviewer seemed more focused on guiding me to think exactly like him, rather than evaluating my own logical reasoning or problem-solving approach. There was little room for flexibility or creativity, and the whole round felt more like a guessing game of what the interviewer wanted to hear rather than a fair assessment of technical ability. To add to that, the feedback process was slow. It took them 3 full days just to come back with a generic rejection email stating they would not proceed. For a company of this scale, I expected a more constructive and timely response, especially after investing time and effort into multiple rounds. Overall, the process felt rigid and discouraging. Candidates should be evaluated based on their ability to solve problems their own way, not based on how well they mirror a single perspective.

The interview process was on 3 stages: 1- HR interview. 2- Problem-solving interview. 3- system design interview 4- one-to-one call with staff engineer. Overall, the process was interesting and especially fun!, I didn't feel pressured during any of the calls and constantly got feedback from HR with each stage.
