This recruiting agency is a joke. They wasted almost 6 weeks of mine.
They got me interviewed at Empire Life Insurance, company they claimed to have long term relationship with. I had two interview rounds and they went very well. Recruiter notified me that the hiring managers are very much interested but they want to interview other candidates (understandable). Recruiter comes back to me after 4 weeks saying that seems like employer didn’t find suitable candidate for the position so they are still interested in knowing if I am still available. (Important to mention here that I got an offer by that time but I found this opportunity more interesting so I said yes and explained the situation to recruiter that I am putting other offer on hold for now). Recruiter promised to get back to me asap. I followed up in around one week, recruiter said employer is still deciding. One more week passed, I followed up again, recruiter said that someone has stepped up from the team internally to train for this position.
As a candidate, I would expect professionalism from the recruiter and work in best interest for both, hiring company and the candidate, rather than wasting their valuable time.
