First received a call from the VP and had a phone interview to go over my skills and experience, and get more details about the role. This session went very, very well and I was then set up a week later with another interview, this time a panel over the phone.
The phone panel was very good and interactive. I was asked to troubleshoot some possible technical issues and suggest how I might go about resolving those issues. While numerous answers could be correct, it was an opportunity to see how I would think on my feet. At the conclusion of the panel, I was told the next step would be an HQ visit and all seemed very positive. I was given homework to write some basic scripts to pull configuration and service data from Windows and Linux OS.
I provided the scripts 2-3 business days after the panel. However, after over 2 more weeks, I received no feedback or acknowledgement that they had received my scripts, and in the end, simply received a form letter from HR stating they were not continuing the process with me. I asked the panelists for feedback but did not receive any.
