The interview process at Target is a very long process, but it makes sense if you are trying to get the best possible employees. I began the process with a phone interview with a regional recruiter who received my resume/information from a current employee. This interview went very well and I received an email a couple days later asking me to take an IQ/Personality test online as soon as possible. I took the tests and about 3 or 4 weeks later I received a phone call asking me to come in to a store for an in-person interview. Though, they called me and asked me to come in the following day, I was still able to make the interview time and went in for the interview. Here, I was interviewed by the Store Team Leader and the Executive Team Leader of HR for the store. This interview lasted about 20 minutes and was followed up by a 30-45 minute tour of the store by another one of the Executive Team Leaders. Though I did not think I did well on my interview I received a call a couple days later asking me to visit the district office and interview with the district manager. This was a 1-on-1 interview and I felt was my best interview of the bunch. Unfortunately, they didn't agree. I received an email a couple days later telling me they were pursuing other candidates. What sucked about this process is that there was absolutely no feedback. In fact, the email said it was Target's policy not to give feedback to potential hires that were not current employees. Whatever.
It was an overall good experience as most of the employees seemed to really like working there and were nice and easy to deal with. All the questions were situational-based interview questions. So, give me an example of a time you....fill in the blank. You can Google that topic and find hundreds of example questions and answers if you need help. Each of the three interviews had different questions, so be prepared for all kinds of different types of questions.

It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.

Star format- they want a story for each accomplishment they inquire about.
The interview was straightforward and to the point. Situation based interview, what would you do in this certain scenario. Interviewer was very friendly, and welcoming. They want to make sure that you have what it takes to be a leader
