Applied online and took an assesment. Was called in for an in person interview by HR two weeks later. Came in the following week and met with team lead of the department then second interview with the main lead of the department. They use the STAR system to interview you and ask you questions from a 6 to 8 page packet each. The following week I was sent a rejection email. The department lead did not like the fact that I already had retail experience.

I applied towards the middle of December, and was interviewed at the beginning of January after following up on my application via phone with Human Resources. Upon job offer, I needed to complete a drug test and orientation. Orientation consisted of a video and assessment of the content in the video--which included workplace situations and an overall negative view of people approaching workers with petitions, as well as people trying to start unions. Signing petitions and joining unions were strongly discouraged in their workers. Previous work experience is not a factor in your starting pay--you will receive the standard base pay for your position. I received the $8.00 base pay for my position, even though I had many years of previous retail experience. I did not get to start working until the end of the second week of January, as I needed to wait for my drug test to clear and complete my orientation-- all of which was paid for.
