The interview is a series of prompts, the typical “tell me about a time” but a LOT of them. Nowadays they’re doing HireVue, which is a recorded interview and then you get a call back and interviewed again. I’ve been hired all 3 separate times I did these interviews but the questions are definitely tedious.

I had applied to target twice before, so i was very surprised when they called me this time. But I applied one night and then the next day a woman called me explained what positions she had open and would like to hire me for, and let me choose. She also explained the hours and pay for each. She set me up with an interview that friday at 10 am. Friday morning I went to guest services where they directed me back to an office. I waited about 10 minutes and then another woman took me into a private room where she asked questions about me, what I do, my availability etc. We joked and laughed a little, then she told me she wanted to proceed to the next interview, and asked if I had time to do it right now. Obviously I said yes, then not even three minutes later, someone else came in. She asked me more personal questions, asked about my knowledge of beauty products, my relationships with coworkers and managers. Then we went out to an aisle and she picked out a product for me to sell to her. Convince her why she should buy it. I talked about the pros of the product while explaining a couple more products to go along with it and giving comparable items. They were so nice and friendly, and they seemed to really care about their crew.
