Here's my experience regarding the campus placement drive conducted by TCS at my college, JNCT Bhopal. Our Training & Placement Officer organized a few interactive sessions with TCS representatives at our college before the actual hiring process started. These were very helpful and clarified many doubts regarding the selection procedure. After that, we were told to prepare for an aptitude test of TCS, and registered at their NextStep portal. The test was conducted online, and consisted of 35 questions testing logic and aptitude. We were given the results within an hour and then waited with baited breath for the interviews to start. Also, the top 5 students from each branch were chosen for direct interviews without giving the aptitude test. First was the technical interview. Since my branch is Computer Science, I was asked few basic questions from Data Structures, Operating Systems and Computer Networks. Was also given a question to fill a tree in BFS and DFS, and to write a programming demonstrating recursion. After that interview came the HR Interview where I was asked to tell about myself to the interviewer. I was then asked if I know about the clients of TCS and answered as such. Then he asked me why I chose Computer Science as my branch and I replied. After that he told me that my employment would be dependent on the background check conducted by some 3rd company on behalf of TCS. We shook hands and that was the end of the interview. Both the interviewers were pleasant and I did not feel any hostility from them. We got our results at around 2 AM the same night and I was glad to hear that I was selected.

Easy process focusing on Projects in detail , Coding , Sql queries , OOPs and some managerial questions followed by HR interview. They mostly focus on your confidence and calmness rather than only knowledge. It's better to have good communication and quick thinking in the interview.
