Did a quick phone screen with HR/Recruiter, and was then invited in live, without a phone interview with the hiring manager. That should have been my first clue, but I accepted. Went to the live interview, where almost immediately they asked if I could work the following "shift," and described the hours, that this was required with no other options, no flex time, etc, something I haven't encountered since I was a newbie on the helpdesk in the early 90s. Had this been mentioned before, I would have declined; It was not do-able for me. My bad for not insisting on a phone interview, but seriously, this is something that could have been mentioned by the recruiter. It wasted their time and mine, 2 hours of PTO, and 10 bucks to park, which all could have been avoided if they had offered this info up front.
