Entrevista
- Initial call with CTO. Positive experience overall. I was introduced with a take-home test - Worked on the take-home test. It is quite extensive, it takes at least 15-20h if you want to do the very basics. It took me a bit longer because I wanted to give a complete solution. Submitted the test and was told that my submission was successful so I passed in the next round which was the team fit interview.
- Team fit interview: I had a 45 mins team fit interview with 3 team members. The discussion went well, I did not spot any very visible issues. I asked how long it will take to receive a response and they told me that the CTO will come back to me in a few days 2 weeks passed and no response was sent to me. I started thinking that I was ghosted so I sent them an email to see if there are any updated. The CTO responded after some days claiming that unfortunately there were better candidates and the team fit test was unsuccessful and to let him know whether I wanted feedback. I was very curious of what went wrong in the team fit test in order to know what I could have done better so I requested feedback. I have not received any update so I believe I was ghosted. Overall the interview process started in good terms. However, it is very sad to see that even small companies do not respect your time and do not even spend 5 minutes to give feedback when on my side I spent 20-25h to implement a technical test. My issue is not about rejection, rejection is normal and part of the process. The issue is lack of respect towards the candidates, especially when part of your recruitment process requires them to spend a good amount of their free time

Entrevista
At the start it was a linear process. It ended being dramatic.
- First and introduction interview with the CTO
- 2 days coding challenge (16 hours)
- team fit with Head of Engineers and a software architect
in between these steps:
- mini call of 20 mins
- unanswered emails
- lack of communication
they mad me an offer which I accepted and few days later they declined it.
I've never seen such lack of professionalism and transparency in my career
