The interviews themselves were fine, but my recruiter was unfriendly and communications with them were inconsistent and extremely confusing. Even after asking clarifying questions to follow up I would get an equally vague, curt response. Finally, after 3 rounds I received a generic form rejection email with zero feedback. I would expect, at the very least, a personal note after that much time invested. I’ve talked to multiple companies from start ups to Faang the past two months and this was by far the worst candidate experience I’ve had.

Standard 3 step process: 1) 30m screener with recruiter (the person I worked with was very personable, accommodating, and generous with their time and information). 2) 30m screener with the hiring manager. Mine was a casual conversation and we mostly "talked shop." Only regret was not getting a better sense of their leadership and management style. 3) 60m panel interview with the hiring manager, a would-be immediate teammate, and 3 would-be colleagues from other departments I could've expected to collaborate with closely. I had 20-30m to give a presentation of a piece from my portfolio. The rest of the time was a Q&A from the team, with a bit of time at the end for me to ask them questions. This was the final step before a decision was made. The pace of the whole process was reasonable to me. 3 weeks end to end. Everyone I spoke with had great energy. I felt well taken care of as a candidate, and that the team had a strong and healthy culture.
