      Reached out over email to schedule a phone interview. Basic phone interview with a personable recruiter. Unfortunately didn’t have enough experience with contract negotiation and union. Appreciated salary range and expectations was discussed upfront during the call.

      Overall good interview process - it was a bit rushed, but I had been working with two internal recruiters who were both fantastic. The interview process was a let-down in a couple of areas 1) generic feedback unsuccessful email - I'd think after building a relationship with the recruiter and getting to interview with the hiring director - it would have warranted a call with verbal feedback 2) Case study preparation - the rush process left little time to prepare something I would consider 'client ready' - especially juggling workload, home dynamics with COVID, etc. Told this needed to be prepared for interview with the hiring Director which was the next day. Did this, spent all night preparing talking points, etc. Was not even asked to present - it left me feeling like all that work was for nothing and that I wasted my time instead of doing work for my actual job. And because of point 3 below - I didn't have an opportunity to rise this. 3) Hiring director was not prepared. It was so obvious they hadn't even looked at my CV before the interview. The interview was clunky and their lack iof preparation made me feel so awkward. Instead of being able to showcase my presentation, instead I politely sat through the 'traditional interview' of having my CV picked apart for the last 10 years.... 10 years!! It also doubled up on various questions and areas - all of which would have been covered off in notes - which due to their lack of preparation hadn't even read or referred to (like they did in previous rounds). 4) Feedback unacknowledged - I let the recruiter know it had been a wonderful experience up until that final interview and gave them feedback as to why. After that it was complete silence and never heard from again.
