I think the number of negative interviews says a lot about the interview process with Tesla. I had originally applied for the position in December through the company website and was contacted by a recruiter in Palo Alto. After going through the phone interview process, i was educated on the position, what it entailed and salary. Two weeks following the interview, I was told that I would be going in for an in-person interview. The in-person interview is where the trouble came together. The interview process itself was very simple (strengths, weaknesses, why should we hire you), but being so simple it really didn't provide any opportunities for the candidate to shine. Then I was provided with information conflicting with what I was told by the recruiter regarding work hours and the nature of the work. The final straw for me was compensation. I was told during my interview that it would be $14, while in reality the salary starts at $11 and apparently "progresses" quickly with positive performance on the job. But I wouldn't really trust them. Also you're being hired by a third-party and not Tesla itself, therefore you also don't get any benefits besides the base salary.

It was casual and informal. I found that the managers were not very focused and seemed to lack professionalism. I'd recommend asking them more questions about the position and what it can offer you. There will be alot of sales force
