Candidatei-me por indicação de um funcionário. Fui entrevistado pela Textio em jun. de 2018
Entrevista
I did a brief call with one of their recruiters. The call went fine, but it didn't have a great tone to it; their company branding places a large emphasis on diversity, but the interview process wasn't very inclusive.
If you go beyond the initial call in the interview process, you'll do one 2-3 hour take-home project, a phone call about that take-home project, and if you pass those, a ~day-long take-home project, plus a full-day onsite. That's a lot of interviewing for any kind of IC role and expects a lot of upfront work from candidates before even introducing them to someone outside of recruiting.
Also: I had a weird moment with the recruiter around salary expectations. It's normal for companies to not explain their salary bands, but it's *highly* unusual for a company to have that policy and state it so abruptly while simultaneously emphasizing how much their company values diversity and inclusion. Even just a conversation around "Do you pay closer to $100k or $200k?" was out of bounds.
The call raised enough red flags that I would not work there, and several friends who also interviewed there echoed my experience.

Can you take me through your previous roles? What about Textio interests you? What are your salary expectations?
I am so sorry that this was your experience. We strive to make every candidate experience with Textio a great one, and clearly we failed here.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on our process. I have already talked with the team and we are immediately rolling out changes to our recruitment process based on your feedback.
If you would be open to it, I’d love to jump on a call to talk further. 206-479-1043
