The recruiter reached out to me for a Software Engineer position that left me feeling disrespected and frustrated. The opportunity initially seemed promising, and I was eager to learn more during the assessment interview. However, I was taken aback when the recruiter insisted on me turning on my camera while he did not reciprocate. This felt disrespectful and was an immediate red flag for me. Post-interview, the recruiter requested additional information required by the client. I promptly provided this, expecting to hear back soon. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Four weeks have passed without any follow-up or feedback. Being ghosted after investing time and effort into the application process is not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. Candidates deserve clear communication and respect for their time, and this tells me a lot about the company’s culture. Last, but not least, the recruiter had terrible and broken English, which further elevated the lack of professionalism. I don’t expect native English, but at least a professional level would be appreciated
