Fiz uma entrevista na empresa The Ladder Method (Los Angeles, CA).
Entrevista
Had a pleasant first interview. Prepared and taught a sample lesson. Was told they were interested and I would be going to the second round. My references filled out a lengthy questionnaire and then crickets. Communication broke down. I was sent a form letter rejection.

I *thought* my interview went really well. After my first interview where I answered questions about my teaching philosophy and practice, I was told I made it to the next round. I was asked to submit two professional references and when they were received, I would be asked to do a background check. I provided two exceptional professional references who were not my former supervisor for various reasons. They both confirmed with me that they gave glowing references. I received an email saying that I would not be moving on in the hiring process two business days later with no reasoning. I was actually really excited about this role and really thought that I would have been a great fit, so I reached out for clarity. Not a horrible experience, but I would appreciate more communication and transparency.

I am deeply disappointed. The process took over a month. I conducted a one-on-one video interview, which I passed, and then proceeded to 5 references, all of whom provided glowing reviews. Following this, a background check was conducted on me.
I was informed via email that they would discuss compensation with each other, reach out to me, and then extend a job offer. They ghosted me, and after I continued to follow up, they sent me a canned message that I did not receive the position. I had been emailing with two people, and they didn't have the respect to tell me themselves. Very disappointing, and I feel grateful to have found out how poorly the company treats others before I got too involved.
