There were three different types of jobs for the summer internship. One was for text mining, and this suited Computer Scientists more. The other two were for entering data into records manually and discovering hard-to-find multi-lingual dictionaries. These jobs were more suited for Linguists. I had a background in both Computer Science and Linguistics so I decided to interview for all three positions. The interview process was conducted via email. I was simply asked to complete some of the tasks that would be required of me during the internship and send the work to the company. The tasks were easy, and the discovering rare multi-lingual dictionaries part was quite fun for me.

Try to find at least one lexical resource on each of the languages in the table. A lexical resource could be a dictionary, glossary, lexicon, or word list. The translations do not need to include English; they can be between any two (or more) languages or dialects, in any scripts. The materials may be bilingual or multilingual, and they may be digital or print. Please limit yourself to approximately 30 minutes of searching on each language. (The languages listed were Siberian Tartar, Polari [a super fun language], and Urartian)

Process took about one to two weeks. Cover letter containing summary of qualifications was sufficient - in-person interview wasn't necessary, to my surprise.
