Candidatei-me de outra forma. O processo levou 2 semanas. Fui entrevistado pela The Marek Group (Waukesha, WI) em set. de 2021
Entrevista
I sent in my resume for consideration with no response - but many years of applicable experience.
A friend of mine shared my resume with upper management who then got it to the right person.
1) Phone interview
2) Personality test
3) In person interview
All went well; HR sent the benefits information for my review
4) I followed up & never heard back
Very unprofessional approach & lack of communication in the very small circle of promotional products distributors left in the Milwaukee area.
Would NOT recommend even starting the process.
I connected with a promo recruiter & secured a great remote role at a fantastic company with excellent culture, benefits & pay!

I had a phone interview with HR within a day or two of submitting my application. It was a standard phone screen. Then I went in for an in-person interview a few days later with the manager who oversaw the position for which I had applied. It was...weird and very confusing. The manager was nice enough, but seemed very hurried, which was a bit uncomfortable. She looked at her watch multiple times during our relatively short interview. She didn't ask too many questions outside of going over my resume and asking why I was looking for a new job. I got the impression that they were just trying to fill a role and I somehow met the minimum requirements for said role.

I had one phone interview and was invited in for an in-person interview. I was asked to take an online personality test prior to the interview. The first interview went well. I interviewed with the manager and director separately. I was called a day or so later and was asked to come in for a second interview and meet the team. The second interview was with the same two people. I was asked the same questions as in the first interview. During the interview, the personality test that I had taken was pulled up alongside one of the interviewer's results and I was asked to explain how my personality compared to theirs. I briefly mentioned my time in social services and the interviewer became very annoyed. He asked why that was not on my resume. I explained that it was on the second page of my resume, but I had placed my more recent experience, as an account manager, on the first page. I was then told that my time in social services was far more impressive than my MBA. I had not brought up my MBA at that point but was told that experience was far more important than education. He stated that he would have been more impressed if I had been a server. I was confused because I did have experience along with an MBA and he had been in possession of my full resume for over a week. When that portion of the interview was over I was given the interviewer's business card and told to email with any questions. I was told that I would hear back from the company with the final decision within the week. I was then told that members of the team would be brought in for an informal "get to know you" meeting. Five members of the team were brought in, all of whom had copies of my full resume with my personal contact information. The team members then began the same round of interview questions that were asked by the first set of interviewers. The complete second interview was over three hours. The next day I emailed the hiring manager's a question. I never received an answer and never heard from the company again. In total, I interviewed with this company for over 8 hours and never received an email stating that they choose another candidate. The company prior to this had been very responsive and seemed to move quickly. I'm very happy that I did not receive an offer, as the interviewing process was very demining. I do think that they could have sent an email. I am writing this in the hopes that it saves other potential candidates' time.
