The people were very nice during orientation and kept everything short and informative. The main thing during orientation is just doing an interactive online lesson for your certification in taking care of residents, and also learning the layout of the building and certain procedures in line with the work. Overall the interview gives you an idea of the sort of work associated with it.

One thing was if I knew how to cook and how I would interact with people who may not be the nicest or in their right mind.

This was a three stage process which is typical of a senior role. The first two interviews were with the CEO and other Department Heads. In the third interview I had to present how I would approach the job to the CEO and a Board member ie a PowerPoint presentation. The process went very smoothly and I had good communication from HR and the CEO throughout, who were happy to answer any questions I had on the role. I had a long notice period for my previous role, plus my father sadly passed away and I had to go back to the UK which delayed my start even more. They were very caring and understanding of my situation and thats honestly been my experience since being in the role as I was offered and did accept the position: a very caring organisation.

This company needs to review their HR processes and be more transparent. They were not upfront regarding salary or role seniority and the HR representative lied regarding the role. My references were checked before any discussion regarding salary range which left me in a difficult position with my current employer. I was told there would be two interviews but this ended up being only one and when I was offered the job and was disappointed with salary, they refused to negotiate. The salary was put to me as a 'commercial equivalent' which is inappropriate and misrepresents their actual benefits. Their pay for clinicians is well below market, even taking into consideration salary sacrificing.
They offer a 9 day fortnight to full-time staff so I asked if a RDO also applied to part-time staff but was told this 'obviously' wasn't the case. Surely it would be more equitable to offer this perk to all employees if they work longer hours each day.
The HR rep also led me to believe they had a flat hierarchy however this was not true, only to be revealed in the final paperwork. When I raised these issues and tried to renegotiate the offer was rescinded. The way I was offered the job was also bizarre- it was stated as a 'potential role'. I then had to clarify if I was actually being offered a job and ask for paperwork. Overall completely unprofessional process. The HR rep said he was 'too busy' to get involved in the recruitment process which speaks to a lack of integrity in their organisation.
We are sorry you had a negative experience with this recruitment process, however this is not an accurate representation of everything that occurred with this particular situation. Unfortunately, it became clear that there was quite a mismatch between expectations and what we were able to offer and this was discussed in detail at the time. Accordingly, we will not be engaging any further in this particular forum.
